Book Signing Success!

My very first book signing at Cover to Cover Books for Young Readers was a wonderful event! I was pleasantly surprised to get to spend time with family, friends, coworkers, and CSG families. I am still overwhelmed and humbled by the support and love I felt all evening.

The set up was great - a cozy armchair in the back of the store. The kids in attendance sat on the floor in front of me, with the adults standing behind them and towards the front of the store. I felt as if I were in my own classroom, which calmed any jitters I had before beginning.

I spoke a bit about my own experiences as a child and science student, my teaching philosophy, and my inspiration for writing Notable Notebooks and Exemplary Evidence. I answered a few questions, and then it was time to sign! We ended the evening with a lovely celebratory dinner at my principal's home.
